Country View Magnets!

I just love all these adorable little images in the Country View sheet from Innovative Stamp Creations!! They are just perfect for those small projects like inchies, or, like my project today, magnets made with Tim Holtz fragments!!
I stamped each of the images on some white paper with palette black in and then colored the scenes with copic markers. I then layered the image on a coordinating piece of card stock. To adhere to the fragment, I used some glossy accents...spread some over my image, and then placed the fragment over picture. It dried within seconds!! So very simple, but makes fun little gifts!
Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great weekend! Don't forget to come back Sunday for the ODBD blog hop! It is gonna be a good one!!!! :)

WT242 - Rejoice!

I made this card for this week's WT242 - Purple Pretties - to use purple on your creation! I am just in love with rich razzleberry, and really love it paired with pale plum!! I thought this church image from the set Worship the Lord from Our Daily Bread Designs would be perfect with this rich color combo.

The card is pretty simple, I stamped the image with rich razzleberry on some whisper white card stock which was sprayed with some glacier glimmer mist to give it a fine shimmer! The DP is from BasicGrey Wisteria, and to finish off the card, I added the sentiment, bow and some dew drops!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a wonderful day!

BOO!!!!!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! I have a fun project for you today! I figured since Halloween in this coming Saturday, I would work on a spooky project...battery operated tea light sleeves!!

I took the black card stock I used for base and ran it through my big shot with the divine swirls cuttle bug folder. I then cut the "window" out with my labels 5 Nestabilities. The b, o and o are from the playful alphabet and playful alphabet buddy stamped with pumpkin pie and black stazon.

To embellish the sleeves I added a 3 dimensional pumpkin on the b and one of the o sleeves, as seen in this pictures. For the middle o sleeve I added a bit of pumpkin pie striped ribbon. Finally, I finished all three sleeves off with some orange crystal gems!

Please head on over to see all the other creation the Crew members have created week for you!!

Also, don't forget about the on going 10% off your purchase at the Kitchen Sink Stamps Store. All you have to do is use the promotion code of CONNIE10KSS. How fun it that! Gotta love a discount!! Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great week!

CAS37 - Simple Sympathy

I wanted to make a very simple sympathy card, and this is what I came up with. Have I said how much I love this BasicGrey Indian Summer DP...well I DO!!!!!!! These colors are just so amazing, they do all the work for you! :)

I paired this paper with a sentiment from the newly released Praying for You set from Our Daily Bread Designs. The sentiment is on one of the label tag trio from spellbinders. I then added a bit of black satin ribbon and a black pearl stick pin from Maya Roads.

For the inside of this card, I added another sentiment from this same Praying for You set. I then added another strip of black satin ribbon with a tiny bit of DP over that to tie it in with the front of the card.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a wonderful day!!

SC251 - Joyful Christmas Trees

I made this card for this week's SC251 on SCS. Such a fun sketch...and I thought these trees would be perfect for it!

These tree images are from the Innovative Stamp Creations Joyful Christmas set, which was released this month!! These trees are just perfect for paper piecing, so I pulled out some fun dark green snowflake DP by Karen Foster! The vanilla background behind the trees and the two DP panels were sponged with Tea Die, Scattered Straw and Frayed Burlap distress inks. Then to finish off the card, I added a bit of bravo burgundy grosgrain ribbon, where I tied a regular bow, as compared to yesterday's card where I did a tailored bow with the same ribbon. I think both bows work, but I am really in love with the tailored bow, and how easy it is to piece together!!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Hope you have a wonderful day!

With Heartfelt Sympathy

I made this card for three different challenges today. First, the colors are from today's CC241 on SCS - bravo Burgundy, always artichoke, Cameo Coral, and Very Vanilla. The sketch is from C4C7, and finally...I incorporated SSHP03 which was to create a scene!

The images I used for this card is from the newly released Heartfelt Sympathy set from Our Daily Bread Designs. To create my scene, I stamped the cattails in bravo burgundy and always artichoke and the dragon fly in bravo burgundy. I then distressed the edges with a bit of tea die distress inks, and my Tim Holtz distressing tool. Next, I added the sentiment, and then finished off the card with some bravo Burgundy grosgrain ribbon, in which I created a tailored bow. I saw this wonderful tutorial on these bows over on Carolina's blog yesterday, and was totally inspired!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great day!!

Kitchen Sink Monday - Ansel Adams Inspired

Welcome to Kitchen Sink Monday!! For today's card I have used the newly released Multi Step Trees. Love these trees, when I first saw them, I immediately thought of Ansel Adams and his wonderful black and white photos! This is the one I was thinking of: Ansel Adams. These Kitchen Sink images look just like photos, so I though it would be a fitting tribute to stamp this tree in black and white!

I stamped my tree image with basic grey, going grey and basic black. The sketch I used for this card today is the WSC102...love this long card sketch...I thought it would work perfectly with my elegant black and white card. My white panels are all dry embossed with the new damask frame embossing folder. I have also used the deckled Nestabilities for behind the circle panel. To finish off my card, I added some black satin ribbon, and some black half pearls.

SSHP02 & MTSC43 - Dressing Up Those Trees!

I made this card with the sketch for this week's MTSC43, and also played with SSHP02 challenge - to dress up those trees!! When I saw this challenge I immediately thought of this wonderful Kitchen sink tree! You can see in the picture to the left, that this is what the tree looks like when you first stamp it. So I dressed it up a bit with some colorful leaves!!

I think the rest of the card is pretty self explanatory, so I will leave it at that!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and thanks so much for visiting today!

ISC Christmas Card Extravaganza Blog Hop - Final Day!!

Welcome to the final day of Innovative Stamp Creation s's Christmas Card Extravaganza Blog Hop!! I have two cards for you today using the newly released Eclectic Christmas!! LOVE this new sheet! Now, I do have to admit, I was not sure about the tree silhouette image at first, probably because it is on the sheet sideways, so I had not idea what the image was until I flipped it the correct way, and that was all she wrote...I was in LOVE!!!!

For this first card, I used the MMSC23 sketch which, by the way, is sponsored by ISC this week!! Play along and you can win a chance at $50 worth of stamp sheets from ISC!!! How fun is that!

I started by heat embossing the tree image with gold embossing powder on basic black paper. The distressed words image from this set was used for the three panels behind my main image. I stamped this image in palette black in directly onto some antique gold paper. For the base panel, I stamped the flourish image from this set in gold ink on basic black paper. Love how you can create your own DP with these fun and elegant background images!!

To finish off this card, I added some black brads, gold rope, and the sentiment, which is from the Festive Season set from ISC.

For this second card, I started by stamping the tree, distressed word background, then sentiment and the flourished image in palette black ink on very vanilla paper. I then drenched the paper in some Aspen yellow tattered angels glimmer mist. Boy how it sparkles!!

I then finished off this card by distressing all the edges with my Tim Holtz distressing tool, and then added a few black photo turn mounts!

Also, don't forget that ISC is offering 10% off your order! The Christmas Stamp Line is jammed packed and for a limited time only the retail price has been reduced!

Praying for You

I have another Our Daily Bread Designs card for you today. This one I kept clean and simple...I know, it has been kind of a theme of mine lately which is so out of character!! However, I think this new embossing folder I got a few weeks ago really lends itself to this kind of a card!

I started off with this wonderful sympathy verse from the newly released Praying for You set. I then embossed some whisper white card stock with the Flourished Farm embossing folder. I then finished off the card with some 2" wide pink satin ribbon and some pink gems placed around the embossed flourish.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a wonderful day!!

KSCC18 - Easy as 1-2-3!!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! It is the first Monday of the month, which means time for another Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge!! KSCC18 is being hosted this month by Angela, and she is challenging us to make a card as easy as 1-2-3...what does that mean? Well we are supposed to make a card with 1 pop up glue dot or dimensional, 2 embellishments, and 3 images. That is it! Only these three limitations though....you can do as many layers as you would like!! You can head on over to the KSS Blog to get all the details on how to play and win!!

I totally kept my card clean and simple today...as I figured it lends itself nicely with this challenge! I based my card off the the fan club interactive sketch challenge this month, which was created by Denise...Peanutbee...LOVE the simplicity of this sketch!

I started with the Owl and Autumn Moon set and a whisper white base. I stamped the tree limb, and owl in creamy caramel, close to cocoa and chocolate chip (the last layer of the owl I did add basic black). The moon was stamped with barely banana and so saffron (twice). I stamped the owl again, cut it out and popped it up on the branch with my one pop dot. I then added some ribbon and brads as my two embellishments. There you have it...easy as 1-2-3!!!

ODBD October Release Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs October Release Blog Hop! If you have arrived from Dawn L.'s blog, then you are in the right place. If not, please head on over to the ODBD blog to start the hop off! :)

For today, I am showing you a card with the newly released With Deepest Sympathy set. I just love this image...I also LOVE to color, but sometimes, I know an image like this can be very intimidating to color, so I thought I would show a wonderful technique you could use with this image WITHOUT coloring it! Soot Stamping!! I just love this technique! If you have never done it before, there is a great tutorial on this over on SCS.

Once I stamped the image, I tore the edges and sponged both the torn edges and the DP with a bit of ranger tea dye distress ink. The sketch is from this week's MMSC21. I then finished off the card with a bit of caramel ribbon and a black pearl stick pin from Maya Rodes.

No on to the blog hop deets: Three of the DT member's blogs along the way have blog candy...the catch...no one knows who has the candy...even the DT!! So in order to have a chance at the candy, you need to comment on all of the blogs along the hop. Once you are finished with the hop you need to head on over to the ODBD Blog and leave a comment saying two things: 1. That you have visited and commented on each blog on the hop, and 2. What you liked best about these new sets! The hop will close Friday, October 2nd at 6:00 pm EST, and the winners will be announced on the ODBD blog on October 3rd!

You may be asking...what is the candy?? Store Credits...that is what!! A $5.00 Store Credit, a $10.00 Store Credit, and a $20.00 Store Credit! These credits will be for any merchandise in the Our Daily Bread Designs Store! Wahooo!!! Love free stuff!!

Now, head on over to the next stop on the hope Angella C...so head on over there now! Also, Just in case there are some broken links on the hop...I'll give you the next few links on the list after Angella: Debi then Becca!

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a wonderful day!!
