ODBD - Oh Beautiful for Spacious Skys!

I am so excited to share with you a sneak peek of this month's Our Daily Bread Designs release! This wonderful verse is from the new set called Our Daily Bread!

I decided to use this week's MMSC 60 for my sketch. The verse was stamped with Fire Brick distress ink, and the edges were sponged with Old Paper Distress Ink. The DP is from Karen Foster Stars and Strips Collage paper. For the background I ran the striped portion of the paper in the stars cuttlebug folder, and then distressed it a bit with a sanding block.

To finish off the card, I added some deep red gems, red taffeta ribbon, and a USA charm added with some twine.

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

KSCC26 - Blue Daisy B-day!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday! Man!! Where is the month of May go!! It is the first Monday in June, which means it is time for another Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge!! This month, Lynn is challenging us to get inspired by patterned ribbon. So go and look through that ribbon stash of yours that I KNOW you have, find one with a pattern, and get inspired!

Here you can see the ribbon that inspired me is this piece of brow ribbon with blue daisies on them! I just HAD to use the 3 step Daisies to match this ribbon! The Daisies are stamped in the following order: Step 3: Night of Navy, Step 2: Brocade Blue, Step 1: Bashful Blue Step 4: Walnut Stain Distress ink. I then sponged the edges of the image panel with some walnut stain distress ink. The sentiment, which is from the same set, was also stamped with night of navy and distressed with walnut stain. To finish off the card, I added some of the inspirational ribbon, cuttlebugged the blue background with swiss dots, and added a small Zva Creative pearl flourish.

Please head on over to see what the other crew members have created for you!!

The DP is from Basic Grey's Green at Heart package, and the black gem flourishes are from Zva Creative. To finish off the card, I added just a bit of pale pink ribbon across the bottom section of the card.
