ODBD - Spring and Easter is in the Air!!

Hello and welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs March Release Blog Hop!
If you arrived here from Sandee's Blog, you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog to be sure you hop in the correct order, because we are having a Special Message Hop, and you will be collecting our Secret Words as you hop along, so you will want them in the order given! All the details of the hop are on the ODBD so you can head over there to get all the deets!

I have two cards from the release to share with you today!! My first card used the Easter Blessings set! Let me just tell you, this lily of the valley image is just sooo yummy!! I stamped it in palette black and colored it with copics. For the base of my card, I did the Glassy Embossing technique from this month;s Technique Junkies Newsletter with a cuttlebug folder, versamark re-inker and ultra thick embossing powder. To finish off the card, I added the sentiment and a bit of white satin ribbon.

My second card uses The Lord Has Risen set with these lovely violets! Hmmm...I did color them with lavender copics, however my camera always turns this color blue...oh well! LOL!! The DP is from Basic Grey's Wisteria package, and the image is placed on top of some distressed velum. To finish off the card, I heat embossed the verse with white embossing powder, and added some flourished pearls from Zva Creative.

One more announcement before you go, ODBD is gong to be full of fun this month because they are celebrating their Second Anniversary on March 17!! Be sure to check the ODBD Blog on Sunday, Mar. 7 where we will be announcing fun challenges that will run Mar. 13 - 16. Then beginning on Sat. WT227 - Amazing Grace Seeing Double

I made this card for WT227 - Seeing Double, were we were to put two of the same thing on your card somewhere...I have to admit, I did take the easy way out and added 2 pink hero art pearls in the corner of my card...but hey, it works!! :)

For my image panel, I used both the dogwood floral image from the Grow In Grace set, and the Hymn from the Amazing Grace Hymn set. I stamped the flower image on some Wisteria BasicGrey DP, and colored it with copics. I then did the Clear Coat Collage technique from the Technique Junkies Newsletter. I really like the emboss resist look with the hymn behind the floral image!

To finish off the card, I added the sentiment, some artichoke ribbon, and don't forget the TWO pink half pearls!! :)

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great day!

ISC Blog Hop Day #3 - Australian Daisy!

Hello, and welcome to the final day of Innovative Stamp Creations 6th Anniversary Blog Hop!! I have one more card to share with you using this month's release. I wanted to make a card that coordinated with the tote that I made for my post yesterday (which you can see here if you would like!)

For this card, I used the Australian Daisy set. The background was created by using the Field of Depth technique from Technique Junkies Newsletter, with the smallest flower in this set. I then distressed it a bit with some scattered straw distress ink.

The little envelope on this card was created using a Debbie's Die cut envelope template, which was then lined with some Little Yellow Bicycle DP. I then put the sentiment on a little tag, and placed it in the envelope. My flower on the envelope was stamped and cut out...for the center of the flower I used some tiny 4mm navy buttons.

To finish off the card, I added a strip of the same DP in the center of the envelope, along with some saffron floral ribbon and a few more 6mm navy buttons in the top left corner.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Don't forget to comment on this post to be entered to win the blog candy of 2 free stamp sheets of your choice!! Now stop on by Sabrina's blog to see what she has in store for you!!

FTTC22 - Chalked Firecrackers!

It's time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #22 . Have we got a lovely challenge for you this week! It is the last Tuesday of the month, so it is time for another Guest Challenge Designer!! Today we welcome Linda Lucas (Lovely Linda on SCS), all the way from Australia! Welcome, Linda!!! Linda is challenging us to use our chalk! Now, there are so many techniques that you can do using chalk. Whether you want to color, sponge distress, create popping pastels, chalkboard technique, or choose another, the point is to dust of that chalk container and Chalk It!! We would love to see what you create!

The set I used for today's card is Flourishes Patriotism on Parade. I just love this patriotic stamp set! So very fun! For the background I used my chalks with the background burst technique from last month's Technique Junkies Newsletter to make the firecrackers stand out on the black paper. The image of the kids was stamped in craft black ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then sponged a bit of red and blue over the image panel with distress inks. and added the sentiment punched with SU's oval punches. The ribbon is riding hood red taffeta ribbon, and the star brads are also from SU.

I just LOVE this Patriotism on Parade set, and Flourishes has launched a "Designing for a Cause" campaign just for this set!! To read all the deets, you can head over to SCS here.

Also, be sure to check out the other Friends of Flourishes Blog team designers to see what they created for you this week.

Kitchen Sink Monday - Farewell Daises!

KSS-June-30th-09-ad

Happy Kitchen Sink Stamp Monday!! For today's card I wanted to do a sort of farewell tribute to Kitchen Sink's 3 step Daisies, which is being retired.

My large daisy was stamped in Only Orange, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango and Chocolate Chip. The smaller daises were stamped with Summer Sun, Crushed Curry and Close to Cocoa. Once I finished stamping the images, I cut them out and popped them up on the orange Label 1 faux felt panel, which is a technique I learned from the Technique Junkies Journal. The yellow background was dry embossed with one of my SU texturz plates, and then sponged slightly with pumpkin pie.

To finish off the card, I added the sentiment on some Kiwi Kiss ribbon, and a few silver flower brads.

Please head on over to see all the other creation the Crew members have created week for you!! You are gonna wanna check what Maria has in store for you this week on her blog! Starting today and each day after (until July 7th), Maria will be giving you sneak peeks of all the new sets to be released July 7th!

SC232 - I'm Here For You & NEW IN COLORS!!! :)

I made this card for SC232...wow!! It has been way to long since I have done a challenge on SCS...this was such a great sketch I just HAD to create a card with it!

The image I chose to use today is from the newly released Sketch of Roses sheet from Innovative Stamp Creations. I stamped my rose in palette black ink and colored with a few copics. The I distressed and sponged the edges in crushed curry and soft suede (lovin' these two new colors from SU!!)

For my middle strip of paper I double bugged a piece of crushed curry card stock. What a fun and easy technique this is...I saw it in a Technique Junkies newsletter, and just had to give it a try! So simple and easy, but adds so much dimension to your card!!

I finished off my card by stamping the sentiment in the corner in soft suede, and then added a touch of kiwi kiss satin ribbon, and a making memories brad.
Just a reminder!! There is also a discount available for the first week of Innovative Stamp Creation's June Stamp Line Release! Starting June 8th through the 15th receive 10% off by using coupon code 61509

Also, Innovative Stamp Creations is holding a charity fundraiser...here are all the details for that! A few yrs ago, some of the images on the Memories of Patriotism sheet were created in collaboration with a wonderful & talented artist. Who is currently going through a difficult health crisis. ISC is not at liberty to share and the artist is not aware that we are doing this! ISC has worked with this artist for 5+ yrs now! This artist is truly gifted and has an amazing heart!! It has been a joy collaborating on various ISC stamp lines! Therefore, from every single MOP sold, $10.00 will be put aside and given to the artist. The event will end until June Monday 15th. We will let everyone know the total raised on June 16th. We thank you in advance for your support and thoughtfulness! It will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much for visiting today! Hope you have a wonderful day!!
