Not Forgetten!

Hello! I have a quick card for you today! I just LOVE this wonderful new set from Our Daily Bread Designs called Not Forgotten!

Here I have stamped the image along with the Old Flag background stamp on some very vanilla paper and colored portion of it with copic markers. This wonderful sketch is from this week's Card Positioning Systems (CPS). I decided to tear the edges of the background flag, and distress the edges of the image to give it all a worn look. I then added the sentiment, which was stamped on some vellum and simply placed over the image. Finally, I added a bit of Flag Twill ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hope is an Anchor

Hello! Today's card uses a few different ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store! First, the burgundy silk ribbon going across the top of the card, and tied in a bow is actually 1 1/4" wide, but I did not want it that wide for this card, so I placed scor-tape on one side length wise across the ribbon and folded it in half. I then tied a smaller bow with the full 1 1/4" ribbon. Next, I used Moss Green Leaves trim with the small flowers from Zva Creative going across my card.

The verse on this card is from the newly released Anchor set from Our Daily Bread Designs. The sentiment panel was then distressed with Scattered Straw and Antique Linen distress inks to match the DP, which is from Basic Grey's Curio package.

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a wonderful day!

Fishing Net or Jute Ribbon? :)

Hello! Boy did I have fun with today's card. I so love this Cream Jute Ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store! When I first saw it I immediately thought of a fishing net, then Our Daily Bread Designs stamps came out with these wonderful Christian Fish symbol stamps that will be released on February 1st, and I saw a perfect match! LOL!!

Here I stamped the image on crumb cake/kraft paper and then distressed it with some walnut stain distress ink. The background panel was stamped with the fish background stamp (also from ODBD to be released Feb. 1st), and also distressed. I then placed the wonderful cream jute ribbon over the background, and the fish image over the jute ribbon! Simple, yet powerful! :)

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

SNTODBD8 - Distressed Tools

Hello! Today, I made this card for this week's Stamping in time with ODBD #8! The hostess for this challenge is Marcelle Schauer. Marcelle is giving us challenge choices! We can choose either to use brads or colored pencils. Now if you are feeling a little adventurous, you can do both!
The image is from Our Daily Bread Design's Father's Day set. I colored it with my SU! water color pencils. I then distressed the panel by crumpling it up, dragging it over distressed Tea Die inks, and sponging the edges with both Tea Die and Walnut Stain Distress inks. I used the same technique on the base layer as well, only with a piece of creamy caramel card stock.

To finish off the card, I distressed all the layers with my Tim Holtz distressing tool, and added the brads across the top of the image.

To see some more sample cards, you can head over to some of my fellow DT members blogs!

Yep!! It is that time again, time to start showing some sneak peeks of the wonderful sets that Our Daily Bread Designs has coming out for you in the month of April. The set I have used today is called Happy Father's Day!. Love this old fashioned looking tool box!

The sentiment panel was distressed even more by running it through the distressed lines cuttlebug embossing folder. To give the image some color, but keep the softness, I stamped it with Walnut Stain Distress ink and colored the toolbox with some red chalks. To finish it off, I added a Tim Holtz spinner and gear and a few additional brads.
