MOJO83, OCCC, CT0409 - I Love Recycling!!

This card was made for a combination of challenges. First the sketch is this week's Mojo Monday sketch. Next both this week's OCC challenge and this months Dare to be Dirty challenges are to use "earth friendly" recycled products on your card. I was brainstorming this morning on what I could as my recycled product on my card, and as I poured out the last bit of my crispy rice cereal, and went to go recycle the box, I thought "duh", use the box as all the kraft colored layers on a card! So....that is exactly what I did! You can see a picture of the back side of all the layers I used as kraft, and also the beautiful bird that is popped up on the main panel!

The bird was stamped in craft black ink directly on the kraft side of the cereal box, and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment was also heat embossed, and flower silhouette was stamped around the sentiment in not quite navy.

I absolutely LOVE this weeks Mojo Monday sketch!! It is great for showing off some beautiful DSP...for my card I used some SU Bella Bleu paper. For my scalloped edge I used SU's eyelet border punch. I then finished off the embellishments with some kraft colored taffeta ribbon also from SU!
