Sketch Of Roses

I have another sneak peek from Innovative Stamp Creation's June 8th release for you today! This card uses the third of the sheets being released...Sketch of Roses. Such a beautiful rose stamp this is!!

For my card, I stamped the rose with palette black in and colored it with copics. I then cut it out and popped it up on my card with dimensionals. The white base of my card is sponged with fired brick distress ink. I then added some Teresa Collins DP on the bottom of the card with my sentiment. To embellish the card I added some fire square brads, Riding Hood Red Ribbon, and some Karen Foster decorative corner brads.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

CC216 & FTTC13 - Bleeding Hearts

This card was made with two challenges in mind...the color challenge over on SCS - old olive, real red, and basic black. and FTTC13 which is this wonderful sketch from Cindy Haffner that you can see here.

I started out by coloring my image from Flourishes Spring Ephemerals set with my SU markers (real red and old olive). Once the image was stamped, I cut out the circle, along with the black mat, with my creative memories circle cutter. For the squares in the background, I used some Teresa Collins DSP cut with my label #1 nesties. The sentiment is from the flourished word stamp set which was punched out with my small and large oval punches. I then distressed all of the edges with my Tim Holtz distressing tool, and sponged everything with a bit of old olive ink. I finished off the card by popping the sentiment on a bit of black satin ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Connie

New Innovative Stamp Release Today!

Innovative Stamp Creations is releasing three new stamp sheets today, and you can save 10% on your ISC purchases by using code apr09 - good through April 24, 2009. How fun is that!! You can view the three new sets by clicking of the links below:

Over the last three days, I have shown you some cards made with each set, and today, I have two more cards to share with you.

This first card uses Birch Tree Paintings. This card is pretty simple and self explanatory, but I feel this image is so dramatic it does most of the work for you! I stamped the tree, tall grass butterfly, and sentiment with palette black ink on confetti cream paper. I then embellished with some riding hood red ribbons original and stick pen and beads both from SU.

The second card is from the Nature Silhouette II sheet. Here I used the Acetate & Tissues technique. You can find a tutorial on how to do this technique over on SCS. To start my card, I stamped the flower image with stazon and flipped it over. I then added some crystal effects over the whole back side of the image, and dropped some new Cool Peri alcohol ink all over the back, sprinkled some light blue pearl-ex and then spread it all around with a small paint brush. I then took a wrinkled piece of white tissue paper and spread it over the glue, trying to get all of the bubbles out, but leaving some of the wrinkles. Once it was dry, I was able to add it to my card.

For the base of my card I sponged some flourished with a new Tim Holtz mini mask with brilliant blue ink. The DP is from Teresa Collin's Family Matters collection called Family Home. I then heat embossed a couple of the pretty little butterflies from with set with black craft on some brilliant blue card stock. Next I cut them out, placed the larger one at the top of the card, and the smaller image on a Tim Holtz mini clip, which is clipped to a piece of basic gray taffeta ribbon. To finish off the card, I added the sentiment.
I am so in love with all three of the sets released this month from ISC...be sure to go and check them out!!

ISC Blog Challenge C24 - Boxes Galore!

I got to play with three different paper mache boxes today for Innovative Stamp Creation's Blog Challenge C24. These boxes are just so fun to work with...so many possiblities!! I used three different mediums to cover each of the boxes. One with DP, one with crackle paint and one with distress ink.

This first box's base was covered with black card stock and the cover with Teresa Collins designer paper from her documented collection.
I then added the black satin bow to the top, and the sentiment and frame image (from the Open the Door sheet) connected to the base.

The second box was covered with faded jeans distress crackle paint, and then I stamped, colored and cut out the three butterflies from ISC Art 4 Fames II sheet. I finished off the box by covering the butterflies with Ranger's Glassy accents, to make them a bit sturdier, and poped them up with a glue dot on the box.

This last box was sponged with Dusty Concord Distress Ink, and then I stamped the flower image from the You're Special sheet with Palette Black ink. I then stamped the sentiment (also from You're Special) on white paper, distressed with more dusty concord ink, punched it out with a large oval punch, layered it on the scalloped oval punch, and popped it up on the box with some dimentionals.

Fabulous!!!!

This is yet another sneak peek from Innovative Stamp creations. This "Sayings" stamp sheet will be available starting tomorrow March 13th!! In my opinion, you can never have too many sentiment sets, and this one would be a perfect addition to any one's collection.

For this card, I used a Teresa Collins Ornate Damask transperancy which is also available from ISC. I cut the ornate design out, and then layered it on a piece of torn pink pirouette inked the edges with riding hood red, and stamped it with Little Specks background. The background riding hood red piece is also stamped with the little specks background.

For the Fabulous sentiment, I stamped it in palette black, stamped the little specks background over it, and then distressed all the edges. I added a bit of black satin ribbon and attached it to the card with a couple of square rhinestone brads!

I just love this particular sentiment! I find myself saying "Fabulous" all the time, so it was just perfect for me!! :)

SC219 - Don't Give Up...Another ISC Sneak Peek!

I made this card for this week's SC219 from SCS. What a very fun and easy sketch!

For today's card, I decided to use this beautiful frame and sentiment from Innovative Stamp Creation's Open the Door stamp sheet, which will be released this Friday, March 13th! I stamped the frame and sentiment with Palette Black, and then colored the flowers and leaves with a few copic markers. The DP that I used for this card is from Teresa Collin's Family Matters collection, which is also available at ISC.

I then finished off the card with some black twill ribbon across the top and a few brads in the corner of the image panel.

This is a pretty simple card, but I just love this beautiful frame...and this sentiment is just perfect for the tough economic times we are facing right now.
