Happy Kitchen Sink Monday! I have a really quick post for you today...what a crazy week this has been, but I did manage a super simple project! I totally LOVE these picture coffee mugs you can decorate yourself! I thought it would be perfect with the Cup of Warm Comfort set!

I stamped the image with the following color combination: Step 1: Tea Dye stamped off, Step 2: Tea Dye, Step 3: Frayed Burlap, Step 4: Walnut Stain Distress inks. I then cut the image out with a Labels 4 Nestabilities, I then sponged the enter image panel with real red ink. I inserted it into the coffee mug...and here you go! A personalized mug just for you!

Count Your Blessings

Hello!! For my card today, I have used some more of the wonderful ribbons from this month's ribbon of the month assortment: the Brown Leaf Trim and Brown satin/grosgrain double band ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. I have to say...I so LOOOOVE the leaf trim...I have some in green also...can't wait to give that a try too!

My image is from the Full of Grace - Blessings set from ODBD. For the sketch, I decided to use the Mojo Monday sketch 169. The sentiment was cut out with the labels 5 nestabilites with my Grand Calibur machine and then sponged with old paper distress ink. The DP is from Basic Grey's Curio package. To finish off the card, I added three flowers from Zva Creative sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday! I so love this Invisible Snowman image released last week from KSS!! He is just sooo fun to create with! I have created my snowman by stamping the hat, scarf, buttons, coal for eyes, carrot for his nose, and the pipe!

The color recipes are as follows:

Round Top box!

Hello! I have a fun little box for you today! This Round Top box is from the November E-Zine from Scor-pal. It is super simple to make, and is sure to be fun for anyone to receive!

For the tag, I used the smaller image from the Ornaments set from Our Daily Bread Designs, which was cut out with the heirloom ornament nestabilties from Spellbinders with my Grand Calibur dic cut machine (also from Spellbinders). I then colored the ornament with copics and sponged the edge with the die still on with some chocolate chip ink. The DP is from My Minds Eye, and the wonderful Brown Satin/Grosgrain double band ribbon is from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store!

For the inside I have added this wonderful sentiment from the Christmas Blessings set. I cut out the sentiment with a Labels 5 Nestablities, and sponged it with more chocolate chip ink!

Invisilble Snowman?!?!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! It is a special Monday here in the Kitchen...they have released probably one of the most clever winter set EVER! :) The Invisible Snowman...you don't stamp the snowman, only the accessories to "dress" your snowman up! How cool is that! (no pun intended, LOL!!)

Paper Coffee Mug!

Hello! Today I have a really easy and fun project for you which is just perfect for little gifts this Christmas! I found this paper mug template from Scor-Pal's November 2010 E-Zine. So very simple to make!

I decorate my mug with some Sheer Ruffled Edge Red Ribbon across the bottom, and tied my Oreo Cookies with the same ribbon and also added some totally fun Green Scalloped Trim all from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store!

To finish off my mug, I added this wonderful Christmas sentiment from the Christmas Blessings set from Our Daily Bread Designs cut out with a Labels 4 Nestabilities.

Have A Cowboy Christmas!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday! It is the first Monday of the month, which means time for another Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge! This months challenge is being hosted by Angela, and she has challenged us to CASE one of our favorite Design Teams cards. This was a toughie for me...not to CASE, but to figure out which of my wonderful fellow DT members I was going to CASE...I LOVE THEM ALL!! However, I did have to choose one, so I decided to CASE Maki!! Here is the card I decided to CASE.

I have changed just a few things...used a different color combo, accept for the hat ink combo...what a great one!! 3rd – cajun craze, 4th – chocolate chip, 5th – early espresso, 2nd – cajun craze (1 x stamp off), 1st – crumb cake. My Stars were stamped as follows: Step 3 Riding Hood Red, Step 2 Rose Red and Step 1 Riding Hood Red (1 x stamp off)

I also used a different cuddlebug embossing folder (I used the distressed lines folder), and I do not have the Plaid Plus stamp set so I used a piece of Basic Grey Jovial DP...I know! I so need it...Maki has displays it so well...I just must have it now!! I also added a bit of twine around the edges of the card.

Hello! It is Josh's birthday today, and in honor of his big day the Our Daily Bread Designs DT had planned a little b-day blog hop for him! For those of you who may not know, Josh is Kelley's right hand man for the store! He helps keep the store running smoothly, and we all appreciate him so much! My card for Josh, used the Happy Father's Day set. I stamped the toolbox with early espresso ink, and colored just parts of it with a red copic. I then sponged and distressed the panel. The DP is from Basic Grey's Jovial package. The base panel was dry embossed with the distressed lines cuttlebug folder. To finish off the card I added some antique brass brads, twine, and the sentiment.

Now on to my project! Oh my goodness!! I am just sooo in love with this WONDERFUL Ornaments set that fits PERFECTLY into the Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament nestablities!! Here I have created an ornament. I stamped the image. colored and sponged it three times. I cut them out with the nestie, and then scored the center of each. I then adhered the three ornament together to create at 3-D ornament!

To help embellish the ornament, I used some Red Jute string, White Satin Ribbon and Red Glitz Ribbon on all from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store. I then topped the jute off on the bottom with some pearls and crystal beads! Speaking of the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store, I have created this ornament for this week's Challenge over the the RRR Blog. To create a 3-D winter themed project!

For my card today, I have decided to use Sketch # 84! This wonderful Christmas sentiment is from one of the new sets offered from Our Daily Bread Designs called Christmas Blessings! This set is jammed pack with great Christmas sentiments!!

The DP I used on this card is from Basic Grey's Jovial package. To embellish the card, I added some pearl white pearl flourishes colored with a red copic, and tiny red pearls all from Zva Creative. This red sheer ruffled edged ribbon is from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. It was tied in a bow with a bow easy, and then draped down the card!

Cards by the Batch Kitchen Sink Style!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday! This is a very special one for me since it is MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!! :) No, I did not make a birthday card in my honor, instead I am still working on my Christmas Card quest!

Today I have done a batch of cards using the Multi Step Pine Tree set! The trees were stamped as follows: Step 3 - Always Artichoke, Step 2 - Old Olive, Step 1 - Old Olive stamped off. I then cut the image out with a Labels 11 Nestabilities. The base was cuttlebugged with a damask embossing folder.

To finish off the card, I added the sentiment from the Ready 4 Any Holidays set. The ribbon in the background is Olive Silk Ribbon, and the star on top of the tree is from some gold star ribbon both from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.

Oh I am just sooo excited about Our Daily Bread Designs December release, and I am sure you will be too!! Today I have created a card using the Full of Grace - Blessings Set!

The sentiment was stamped with Chocolate Chip one Very Vanilla card stock and cut out with a Labels 8 Nestabilities. The sketch is from this week's Sketch Saturday. The DP is from Basic Grey, and the base panel was dry embossed with the swiss dots embossing folder. The border was punched with the SU eyelet border punch.

The Stitched Reversible Brown and Blue Ribbon is from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. I tied the four looped bow with a bow easy and layered it on three strips of the same ribbon. Hi...it's Connie here...I have a fun Christmas card for you today which is showcasing two yummy ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store - Sheer Ruffled Edge Old Gold and 5/8" Ivory Crochet Lace!! Behind the image I placed two strips of the old gold ribbon and the layered it with the crochet lace. I then added another strip of the same old gold ribbon and topped it off with a bow tied with the bow easy and a gold gem to finish it all off!

This fun reindeer image is from the Flourished Christmas Stamp set from Flourishes. I stamped it with Memento black ink and colored it with copics. I cut it out with a Labels 10 nestabilities sponged with some Tea Die Distress Ink. The DP is from My Minds Eye Holly Jolly collection.

Now onto my card, I have use this wonderful digi Christmas Trees Image from Priscillastyles digis! I printed the image on two different designer papers, and then paper pieced them together! They are layered on some wonderful Paper Temptress Autumn Hay Glimmer card stock, which is them layered on the base panel of Bronze Metallic paper.

To finish off the card, I cut the circle out of a beaded circle nestablities, cut it in half and added some red stickles to each of the "beads". Finally I added some red Jute ribbon behind the image, and some May Arts Olive Wrinkled Ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.

"No-Tie" Bow Tutorial!

Hi again...its Connie here! Today I have a quick tutorial for you on the "no-tie" double bow!

As you can see from this first picture, you will need some ribbon...here I have used Moss Satin with Grosgrain ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store. Cut four strips of ribbon - one at 7 1/2", two at 5 1/2" and one at 2 1/2". You will also need your choice of adhesive...I like to use score tape.

First, take the 7 1/2" and one 5 1/2" strips and create a loop.

Next, add adhesive to the center of each loop and press the two sides together.

Once you have completed that step, you will want to add more adhesive to the larger loop, and place the smaller loop on top.
Next, take the 2 1/2" strip and wrap it around the middle to create the "knot".

Finally, take your second 5 1/2" piece of ribbon fold it in half, and then adhere to the back of your double bow to create the "tails". Trim to your desired length! (This step is optional only if you want your ribbon to have tails.)

Here you can see the final product, along with a few others I created...one with brown satin grosgrain edged ribbon, and one with red silk ribbon...both also from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. You can also embellish them however you want...here I added some pearls and a gem! I then added them to these wonderful Mistletoe tags which were cut out with the matching tag dies both from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Each year, four generations...my Grandmother, Mom, DD and I get together and bake our Christmas cookies for the season. Memories I will never forget! I plan on using these tags for the plates of cookies I will be giving as gifts this year to all my friends and family members!

Now for my card this week. I have used this wonderful Angel image from the Priscillastyles Digi images! I printed her out on Laser Silver Luster paper from the Paper Temptress and colored her with copics. I then layered her on some Aquamarine paper embossed with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and Silver Metallic Papers also from the Paper Temptress. To finish off the card, I added some silver stars, glitter white ric rac, and Shimmer Silver Satin ribbon all from Really Reasonable Ribbons!
