I made this Magnet for TLC209 - Rubber Band Technique, and KSCC#8 where Lynn was today's hostess and her challenge was to make a refrigerator magnet that is no bigger then 4"x4". This rubber band technique is just so simple, but can make a very fun background!! For my background, once I stamped the rubber bands in versamark, I heat set it with some clear embossing powder, and then sponged over that with some so saffron and mellow moss inks.
One of the stipulation's for Lynn's Magnet Challenge, was to use a computer generated quote along with a kitchen sink image. I found this great quote "A single rose can be my garden...A single friend, my world." and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it! I printed the quote off, and then, of course, used the 3 steps hearts and roses from Kitchen Sink Stamps. I decided to create a yellow rose since it is symbolic of friendship. I stamped the smaller rose image right over the sentiment, cut it out with my creative memories circle cutter and then sponged the edges, and layered it on some Label #1 nestabilities.
Very fun, and now I will be able to give some refrigerator art to my very best Friend!! :)
