ODBD - The February Release has gone to the Birds!! :)

Hello and welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs February Release Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Sandee's Blog, you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog to be sure you hop in the correct order, because we are having a Scripture Hop, and you will be collecting our Secret Scripture Words as you hop along, so you will want them in the order given!

You have until Thurs. Feb 4th at 8:00PM EST to complete the requirements to be eligible to win. Now on to my cards!

My first card uses the Sing for Joy set. I just love this beautiful Cardinal image. However, I of course had to be different and turn him into a Blue Jay!! I colored him with copics, sponged a bit for some sky, and cut out the image with a Labels 2 Nestabilies. The DP is from Deja View's Timeless paper stack, and to finish off the card, I added some eyelets in two corners and wove some brown thin twill ribbon tied off into a bow, and some light blue crystals in the opposite corners!

My second card uses the You Will Find Refuge set! Isn't this little chickadee just sooo sweet!! I used the Grid Technique on this card. Such a super simple technique to add just a bit of texture to your card! Once I created my grid, I stamped my image with palette black and colored with copics. I then sponged the whole image panel with some peeled paint distress ink. The card was then finished off with some wide satin olive ribbon, and Basic Grey Origins DP!
