ISC Sneak Peek Day 2 - Bush Flowers

Welcome to day 2 of Innovative Stamp Creation's August release. Today, I am showing you the Bush Flowers sheet, which will be available this Thursday!!

I started by stamping the flower in black palette ink on kraft card stock, and then colored it with a Marvy white opaque pen...LOVE this pen! It really is a must have!! I then took some Scrapperdashery Orthello DP, stamped the image on it, and then tore the image portion out. I then took the negative portion of the DP and placed it over my colored image.
To finish off the card I distressed all the edges and added the sentiment framed by a Heidi Swapp mini chipboard plate which is covered with some scattered straw distress stickles.

Here you can see what I did for the inside of my card. I stamped the smallest flower image on this sheet, and colored it just like my image on the front, with the Marvy white opaque pen.

Thanks again for visiting today, be sure to come back tomorrow for another sneak peek!!

LSC231 - Grunge Paper Peony!!

I made this card for LSC231 - To die for! Where you can only use die cuts and one stamp either for the background or for the sentiment...you could use anything else!

So, as you can see I chose to use the spellbinders peony Nestabilities. I used all but the largest and the smallest in the group and cut them all out of grunge paper. I then sponged rich razzleberry and black soot distress ink all over each of the flowers. Next, I sprayed them with some Vanilla Breeze glimmer mist, and curved the edges up for each layer. To finish off the flowers I added the black corduroy button brad (which is actually a kiwi kiss corduroy button brad colored black with my black copic marker!)

For the background of my gate fold card, I used a Heidi Swapp mask sponged with rich razzleberry ink. I then added the sentiment/verse which is from Innovative Stamp Creation's Thoughtful Verses stamp set.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Hope you have a wonderful day!!

ISC Sneak Peek Day 1 - Picturesque

Hello! I am very excited about this month's release over at Innovative Stamp Creations (ISC).

Today I decided to show you a peek of one of the new scene images being released this month. This one is called Picturesque. Isn't is just so calm looking! Make me feel calm just using the image!!

For my background I used the Splatter Technique from this month's TJNL The colors I used for the background are baja breeze, Kiwi Kiss, and So Saffron re-inkers. I then stamped the image over the background with palette black ink. I thought those colors together would give a sort of sunset vibe for my beach picture.

To embellish the card, I added a bit of rope on one side along with some brads from Little Yellow Bicycle, on the other. For the sentiment, I used a Heidi Swapp Mini Ghost Shape that I colored with a bit of Lettuce Alcohol ink, and attached with a few antique brass brads.

Now, on to some more FUN news!! ISC is turning 6!!!! To celebrate their birthday, ISC is planning a HUGE Blog Hop from July 13th through July 15th. We will not only be showing you some more wonderful fun samples, but EACH of the DT members will be giving away 2...yes 2 FREE ISC Sheets to one lucky winner who posts comments on their blog during this time frame. So, make sure and come back next week for all the fun!!
