I made this card for this week's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #38, Stamping Sister's in Christ $23 - to use a bit of green and Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #51 - Guest Hosted by Pat Adams which is to be inspired by the letter P. For my P inspiration, I Paper Pieced the Sweet Violets image, used half back Pearls, a bit of Pink, Periwinkle paper for the flowers, and I Popped up the flowers with dimensionals! Whew!! That is a lot of P's!!

Love the DP I used on this card, which is from Basic Grey Sugar Rush. My other favorite product, that I just LOVED seeing at CHA are these FUN pearl flourishes from Zva Creative...they have a ton of fun flourishes and frames with pearls and bling!!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a wonderful day!

CHA Fun!!!

I had such a BLAST at CHA this last weekend! So much new product to see, but I think the most fun was meeting some of my wonderful cyber friends! I has a fabulous time staying with my dear friend Wendy Weixler and her wonderful daughter Amelia! What a great time we had!

I did not pull my camera out much, Wendy did pretty much all of the picture taking, and she was able to forward a few to me, so I thought I would share some with you! So here goes!

First Row (left to right): Heather Rolin, Deb Felts, Lynn Mercurio; Back Row (left to right) Me, Jenn Balcer and Wendy Weixler!!

From left to right: Bev Giraurd, Joan Ervin, Angie Crockett, Beate Johns, Me, Wendy Weixler and Amelia!

From left to right: Lisa Somerville, Maria Colosimo, Me!

Wendy and Me!!

Wendy, Amelia and I went to Disney and California Adventure...she drug me on California Screamin' kicking and screaming...she was not sure I would be her friend after the ride, but as you can see, I lived to tell the tale and agreed to still be her friend! LOL!! Okay so maybe the smile is a bit fake, but I was not promising anything until my feet were firmly planted on the ground! :)

Another highlight of my CHA experience was meeting some of my ODBD fellow DT members Angie C, Lorelie, and the owner Kelley for dinner. I unfortunately did not have my camera...waaahhh!! Maybe I can scrounge up some pics from one of them to share with you soon! :)
Thanks so much for visiting! Have a great day!

Come Warm Your Heart!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! For my card today, I am using the newly released Multi Step Cup of Warm Comfort. I also combined this card with this week's Saturday Spotlight Hidden Potential #15 - To let the sunshine in...to use bold bright colors or mostly yellow on your card. I know this does not have a bit of yellow on it, but it is about as bold bright as I get! LOL!!

The image was stamped with Tim Holtz/Ranger distress inks: Tea Die, Brushed Corduroy and Stained Walnut. The edges of the card were sponged with a bit of Spiced Marmalade & Fire Brick distress ink. The DP is from the new Basic Grey Sugar Rush...very fun paper! To finish off the card, I added some sheer pastel ribbon, buttons and some red gems!

Please head on over to see what the other crew members have created for you!!

LSC256 - What is a Palindrome???

I made this card for this week's Limited Supply Challenge over on SCS. Since today (Friday's) date 01-22-10 is a Palindrome - read the same backward and forward, today's limited challenge is based on that! You must have a Palindrome in your sentiment. Additionally, you must use stripes on your card that look the same if you are looking at it from the right to the left, or the left to the right! How fun is that!! :)

So the Palindrome in my sentiment is the word "eye". This wonderful bird image and sentiment are from a new Our Daily Bread Designs set that will be available February 1st! Yep! ODBD is going to the birds!! :)

The striped DP is from the SEI Windsor pack, the punched border was created using a Martha Stewart punch, the ribbon is faux suede ruffled ribbon from May Arts, and the sentiment was embellished with some crystal gems from Zva Creative.

Oh, and I have some exciting ODBD news for you! As you may know ODBD is now a member company of SCS. Well in conjunction with this, ODBD had decided to do weekly challenges, with a brand new challenge team!! The team will be introduced tomorrow with a blog hop! So make sure to check it out...I will be posting a card tomorrow too in honor of the new challenge DT, so be sure to come back!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

MOJO122 - Believe

I made this card using this week's Mojo Monday sketch #122. The verse is from Our Daily Bread Designs new Baptism & Confirmation Verses set.

If you can not tell, when I started making this card, I was is an distressing kind of a mood! Every single edge on this card has been distressed. The tan panel in the back was not only distressed on the edges, but also crumpled up, inked with Milled Lavender, and then ironed out with my craft iron.

The flower was created in same way as the distressed base...I cut out the three smallest Nested Blossom dies from Spellbinders, crumpled them up, inked them, layered them and added the dark red crystal brad.

To finish off the card I added a bit of lavender ribbon and some additional crystal gems around the sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a wonderful day!

Birch Tree Paintings meets new DIgi Paper!

One of my most favorite Innovative Stamp Creation's images is this Birch Tree Paintings sheet! This tree is just sooo beautiful! Because it is such a beautiful image, I kept this card pretty simple as to not take away from this amazing image!

I stamped the tree by coloring the leaves with certainly celery ink and the trunk with Chocolate Chip. The sketch I used for this card is from last week's Mojo Monday sketch #121. The designer paper used on this card is the new Digi Paper called Distressed Warmth. The top strip was punched with a Martha Stewart Botanical border punch. To finish off the card, I added some brown satin ribbon, and some light green crystals.

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Winter Cardinal...Just Because!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! Today I have a card for you using the new Multi Step Winter Cardinal set! This set has two wonderful Cardinal images in it. My card last week used one of the images, and this card uses the other.

The sketch for this card come from this week's Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C20) I thought it would be perfect to display not only the beautiful cardinal image, but also so display one of the wonderful sentiments from the new Simple Sentiments set, also released this month. The sentiment was stamped using Fire Brick distress ink, and then cut out using the fancy tag trio from spellbinders. Once the sentiment was cut out, I sponged a bit of fire brick distress ink around the edges of the die, to achieve this masked sponging effect.

My Cardinal was stamped with Rose Red, Ruby Red, Real Red and Basic Black. The pine was stamped with old olive twice, always artichoke and close to cocoa (for the pine cones). I also sponged the edges of my image panel to reflect the sponging around the sentiment. To finish off the card, I added some olive ribbon and punched a border on the side with my Fleur De Lis borderabilities.

Please head on over to see what the other crew members have created for you!!

Innovative Stamp Creations January Release - Day 2

Hello, and welcome to day two of Innovative Stamp Creations January Release!! Yesterday, I showed you two creations using the I Heart for You! sheet. Today, I will be showing you two cards using the new With All My Love sheet. I had to laugh at myself with both of these cards. The heart image in this set has some flourishes in it, and you can say I maybe picked up on those a bit! LOL!! Here is what I mean! :)
My first card uses not only the heart image from the With All My Love sheet, but also the larger one from the I Heart for You sheet. I stamped the smaller heart image, masked it and then stamped the larger image. They were then cut out with my creative memories circle cutter and a scalloped circle Nestabilities. The background was stamped with the WONDERFUL large distressed words script background stamp within this set. I then finished off the card by adding the sentiment, and a couple of crystal gem flourishes.

This second card...I know...flourish CRAZY...was created by heat embossing the heart from the With All My Love sheet with craft black ink and clear EP. I then cut it out and placed it on the stamped frame image from the I Heart for You sheet. I then stamped the same distressed words background from the image on the base of the card, and finished it off with some black satin ribbon and some WONDERFUL large pearl flourishes from Zva Creative.

Thank you so much for visiting me today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Innovative Stamp Creations January Release!!

Over at Innovative Stamp Creations, Love is in the air!!! Today they are releasing two new sets, that are just perfect for any Valentine you may need to make!!

I have two projects to share with you today using the I Heart for You sheet! First, I made this fun little box. This box is just so super simple to use! I first saw the template over on my friend Holly's (Toy on SCS) blog. The base of my box is pink pirouette, and the flap was created using the new digi paper from ISC called With All my Love. I used my Labels 8 Nestabilities to create not only the flap, but also the window in the front, which is covered with acetate. I inked all the edges of the box and flap with tea die distress ink.

To decorate the box, I stamped the scalloped circle word image on both pink pirouette and barely banana, and the stamped the flower image over the words. I then cut the flowers out, crumpled them up and distressed them even more with some tea die distress ink. I off set and layered all the flowers, and attached them together with a large yellow crystal brad. To finish off the box, I added some yellow grosgrain ribbon, the distressed sentiment tag, and the yellow gem flourish (which I created by hand with a bunch of tiny gems...I know...crazy! LOL!!)

The card I have for today was created using the brick wall technique. Such a fun technique...especially if you love to distress things, like I do! I stamped the heart image with fired brick distress ink, cut it in a brick pattern, and distressed all the edges with walnut stain and fired brick distress inks. To finish off the card, I added the sentiment cut out with a deckled Nestabilities, and some brown thin twill ribbon with a ribbon slider.

Be sure to check out what the other wonderfully talented Creative Architects have created for you!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see some cards I crated with the With All My Love sheet!

Kitchen Sink January Release IS TODAY!!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday..Oh wait...it is Tuesday! LOL!! Either way, it is a special day, cause it is also time for Kitchen Sink's January Release!! There are four new sets being released today. along with a re-release of an old favorite!!

Multi Step Cup of Warm Comfort
Multi Step Winter Cardnials
Friends of the Moon
Simple Sentiments
AND the long awaited return of the Multi Step Daisies Set!!

I have three new cards to show you today showcasing all the new sets, and one card I pulled from my card "vault" showcasing the returning Daisy set!

First, I have a card using the new Multi step Cup of Warm Comfort set. I KNOW...don't you just LOVE it!! MMMM...looking at this latte image just makes me crave one!! I stamped the latte and the star cookies with creamy caramel, close to cocoa and chocolate chip. I then masked the latte and added the peppermint stick which was stamped with pretty in pink, ruby red and real red.

To finish off the card, I cut the image panel out with a labels 8 Nestabilities, used a Martha Stewart punch on the red layer, and the divine swirls cuttlebug EF to emboss the base cocoa layer. The sentiment used the Fancy Labels Spellbinders Die sponged with a bit of red ink which is on some red satin ribbon.

For my second card, I used the new Multi Step Winter Bird set. Isn't this cardinal just beautiful!! I stamped the bird with rose red, ruby red, real red and basic black. The pine was stamped with mellow moss, old olive, always artichoke and chocolate chip. For this card, I used this last week's Mercy's Tuesday sketch (MTSC55), The DP is from basic Grey, and to finish off the card, I used some black gems, fancy red fibers, and a Martha Stewart punch.

For my next card, I used the Friends of the Moon set...this set is just the perfect compliment to the Autumn Moon set! Also, for a mini, you sure get a lot of different images to created not only different holiday cards (4th of July, Halloween, Christmas), but also birthday cards for the men in your life...from the little ones to the big ones. Today, I chose to make a birthday card for my Father.

I stamped the moon with Going Gray (stamped off twice, stamped off once, and then stamped directly over the two layers). I then covered the moon with versamark and clear embossed. The geese are stamped with craft black and then also heat embossed with clear EP. I then created the background by sponging and masking with bordering blue, night of navy and basic black. To finish it off, I added a bit of black ribbon, and the sentiment.

Okay, one final card for you today...I went ahead a pulled this card using the Multi step Daisies set...I don't think I ever blogged this card, so I thought it would be perfect to show you all today for the re-release of this set!

It is a pretty clean and simple card...I stamped the flower with Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose. The leaves are stamped with mellow moss, old olive and always artichoke. I then sponged the edges of the base just a bit. To finish it off, I added some crimped pink ribbon, and the sentiment with some torn edges layered with pink inked vellum.

Please head on over to see what the other crew members have created for you!!

ODBDC110 - All Things Bright and Beautiful!!

I am just sooo excited about Our Daily Bread Designs first challenge of the new year!! It is really a simple one too!! You are sooo gonna wanna play along!! This month's challenge only requires two things...that you use brown and punches or dies on your card! How simple is that!!

For my card, I used the Noah's Ark set. I colored the image with copics and cut it out. I created the water across the bottom of the card by stamping the water portion of the image over three times. I then created my card, as if I was making a spinner card, only instead of just letting the image spin, I connected a tab to the image to keep it upright...but once you pull the tab, the boat MOVES ACROSS THE CARD!!!! :)

To finish off the card, I created a cloud background, added the sentiment, and a punched photo corner with some some brown pearls!

Now, for more deets on the challenge...please make sure to enter your card with Mr. Linky on the Our Daily Bread Designs blog by January 23rd by 8:00 pm. You do not have to use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps to enter, but if you have them, we would LOVE to see what you do with them! Finally, there will be two prizes, $15 gift certificate to the Our Daily Bread Designs Store!! Wahoo!! Free Stuff!! :)
Also, don't forget that to celebrate our new Member company status at Splitcoast Stampers (SCS), we're giving away a BIG prize!!! If you have not visited the ODBD Welcome Forum and left a comment, you need to head over there by January 10th! Once you leave a comment, you will be entered in a drawing to win a $50.00 gift certificate to the ODBD Store! So you have until tomorrow to participate!!
Please ceck out what the rest of our team has created for this special challenge:

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a great weekend, and happy creating!!

FTTC48, MOJO120 - Life, Love, Lemons!!

I made this card for two challenges, this week's FTTC48 - to use yellow, black and one other color...I chose green, and the sketch is from this week's Mojo Monday #120. When I saw yellow...I immediately thought of this Life, Love, Lemons set from Flourishes!

I colored the image with copics, cut it out with my creative memories circle cutter, a scalloped circle Nestabilities, and then followed this week's wonderful sketch by using some Basic Grey Origins DP!! To give my card the finishing touches, I used a Martha Stewart Botanical Border Punch, some yellow grosgrain ribbon, and some yellow gems!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a wonderful day!! Oh and don't forget to come back on Saturday for the first Our Daily Bread Designs challenge! It is gonna be a fun one!!

MMSC35 & SSCC20 - God be with You

I made this card with two challenges in mind...the Sketch is from this week's Midnight Madness #35. I also made this for this week's Stamping Sisters in Christ challenge #20 - to make a card for a new baby or a new Christan's Conversion.

For the image I used the newly released Confirmation set from Our Daily Bread Designs. I colored it with copics, cut it out with a Labels 8 Nestabilities, and sponged the edges with some Scattered Straw Distress ink.

There are lots of layers going on for this card! LOL!! For the DP layer I used the new Basic Grey Origins DP. Let me tell you this paper pad is soooo yummy!!! The brown layer base was dry embossed with the distressed lines cuttlebug folder. To finish off the card, I added some brown twill ribbon, a large eyelet and rust colored crystals.

I also have a quick little picture of the inside...this verse is just too beautiful not to show it!

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

KSCC21 - Stitched Valentine and a Teeny Tiny Sneak Peek! :)

Good Monday morning!! It is the first Monday of the month, so that means time for another Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge (KSCC21). This month, the challenge hostess is Lisa Somerville! She is challenging us to do a little stitching on you card! Sewing on cards is something I have not done much at all, but I did just get a starter sewing machine for Christmas, so this challenge came at a perfect time for me!! :)
For my card today, I used a few different sets. For the background and pen image I used the 3 Step Letters from the Past. The pen was stamped with creamy caramel, close to cocoa, and chocolate chip. The valentine sentiment is from the Words of Love set. I cut out the sentiment with a Labels 5 Nestabilities. I then sponged and distressed all the edges with some Tea Dye Distress ink and a Tim Holtz Distressing tool. I set up the new sewing machine (for the first time) and stitched a little border with some brown thread around my base pieces. To finish off the card, I added some flourished pearls from Ziva Creative and some brown satin ribbon.

Okay now I have even more fun for you!! I have a little peak of a card I will have for you next week using one of the new January release sets which will be released on the 12th!! Sooo...here it is to the left! Enjoy! I would love to hear some guesses if you want! :)

Please head on over to see what the other crew members have for you today!

There is a great tutorial for it over on SCS to get all the details! The image was cut out and framed with a Labels 4 Nestabilities. The DP on this card is from SEI Sweet Perfume Pearls paper, which was torn and distressed with some Tea Dye Distress ink. The background panel was cuttlebugged with the Floral Screen EF. To finish off the card, I added the sentiment along with some thin satin ribbon!

For my second card, I kept it quite simple because I wanted to showcase this AMAZING paper in the ODBD store from SEI called Juliette Printed Velvet Paper. Yep!! It is velvet and soooo very soft! I just added the sentiment from the Baptism and Confirmation Verses set, which is stamped in Aged Mahogany Distress ink and cut out with my creative memories oval cutter.
