Peace on the Inside

I have made this card for many challenges, but first and foremost, I made it for this week's SNTODBD19 - to make a movable card! I decided to do a swing or flip flop card. So fun!! The color combo is from this week's Curtain Call - Kraft, Sahara Sand, Black Red, Vanilla, and Soft Suede. The sketch is from this week's I heart to stamp sketch for you to try! Additionally, this card meets this week's Stamping Sisters in Christ 57 - to make a Peace themed card. Finally, I added some bling for this week's Crazy for Challenges 56.

On to my card details. The front image is from the Flourished Christan Symbols set and the sentiment on the inside is from the Peace set both from Our Daily Bread Designs. The DP is from Basic Grey. To finish off the card, I added some sand colored ribbon tied in a multi loop bow with the bow easy, and some deep red crystal gems.

Head on over to my fellow DT members blogs for more inspiration!!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great day!!

Know God - Bright White!

Hello! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! I decided to create this card for two challenges...ODBDSLC30 - Bright and White....to create a card with lots of white...the only color can be on you image, and your embellishments, and C4C55 - this great sketch!!

The sentiment is from the Peace set from Our Daily Bread Designs. It is then surrounded by the brocade borders image, and cut out with the brocade border die. I then layered that on a Beaded Circle nestabilities. The background strips are dry embossed with the swiss dots embossing folder. To add a bit of color I added some blue ribbon in between the swiss dots background, and some mini blue gems from Zva Creative.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great day!

Kichen Sink Monday - Sunflower Birthday Wishes!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! I needed to make a card for my Grandmother who is turning 94 years old this week! I figured what better image for a birthday card this time of year, then the wonderful sunflower images from Kitchen Sink Stamps! I decided to use the sketch from this week's Crazy 4 Challenges #49.

For the background of this card, I used sunflower images from two different Kitchen Sink Stamp sets: Multi Step Giant Sunflower and Multi Step Sunflowers. The sunflowers were stamped with the following recipe: Step 1: So Saffron, Step 2: Daffodil Delight, Step 3: More Mustard, Step 4: Close to Cocoa, and Step 5: Early Espresso.

I then sponged the background panel with scattered straw distress ink. I then stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso, and sponged that panel as well with scattered straw distress ink. The sentiment was cut out using the labels 11 nestabilities. The DP across the bottom is from Max and Whiskers Basic Grey package. To finish off the card, I added some yellow floral ribbon across the side with a bow tied with the bow easy, and three brown crystal brads from Zva Creative.

Winter Cardinal...Just Because!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! Today I have a card for you using the new Multi Step Winter Cardinal set! This set has two wonderful Cardinal images in it. My card last week used one of the images, and this card uses the other.

The sketch for this card come from this week's Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C20) I thought it would be perfect to display not only the beautiful cardinal image, but also so display one of the wonderful sentiments from the new Simple Sentiments set, also released this month. The sentiment was stamped using Fire Brick distress ink, and then cut out using the fancy tag trio from spellbinders. Once the sentiment was cut out, I sponged a bit of fire brick distress ink around the edges of the die, to achieve this masked sponging effect.

My Cardinal was stamped with Rose Red, Ruby Red, Real Red and Basic Black. The pine was stamped with old olive twice, always artichoke and close to cocoa (for the pine cones). I also sponged the edges of my image panel to reflect the sponging around the sentiment. To finish off the card, I added some olive ribbon and punched a border on the side with my Fleur De Lis borderabilities.

Please head on over to see what the other crew members have created for you!!

Holiday Greetings Gift Card Holder

This week's challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C14) is to make a gift card....such a perfect challenge for this time of year...I need lots of them since all my niece and nephews are at that age where it is preferred by them to get a gift card so they can get what they want...I love it because it make shopping for them WAAAY more easy. Since the shopping is so easy, I figured they at least deserve a hand made gift card holder!!

The sketch for this card is from this week's Mojo Monday sketch (MOJO16). What a fun little sketch, and I thought it would work on my little 4" x 4" gift card holder! Love this Eskimo Kisses paper from Basic Grey...soooo very fun!!! The reindeer image is from the Year of Thanks II set from Kitchen Sink Stamps....love this little image! The background was dry embossed with a cuttlebug folder. As you can see here, I kept the inside of the card holder pretty simple...I thought the reverse side of the dry embossing was enough of an embellishment!

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a wonderful day!!

With Heartfelt Sympathy

I made this card for three different challenges today. First, the colors are from today's CC241 on SCS - bravo Burgundy, always artichoke, Cameo Coral, and Very Vanilla. The sketch is from C4C7, and finally...I incorporated SSHP03 which was to create a scene!

The images I used for this card is from the newly released Heartfelt Sympathy set from Our Daily Bread Designs. To create my scene, I stamped the cattails in bravo burgundy and always artichoke and the dragon fly in bravo burgundy. I then distressed the edges with a bit of tea die distress inks, and my Tim Holtz distressing tool. Next, I added the sentiment, and then finished off the card with some bravo Burgundy grosgrain ribbon, in which I created a tailored bow. I saw this wonderful tutorial on these bows over on Carolina's blog yesterday, and was totally inspired!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great day!!
