Merry & Bright

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday! I tried my hand at a super simple CAS card today! Here I have used the multi step Ornament and Stars set. I stamped the Ornament as follows: Step 1: Taken with teal, Step 2: Taken With Teal, Step 3: Tempting Turquoise Step 4: Pacific Point. I then added the sentiment also stamped in Pacific Point. To finish off the card, I added some half backed pearls!

Now, please head on over to my fellow Crew Member's blogs to see what wonderful cards they have created today!

KSS - Ivy B-day!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! I'm baaaaaack!! I had an absolute BLAST this past weekend Multi-step stampin' in Houston!! I want to thank Maria for a wonderful time...such a treat to see the master of multi step stamping at work! :) Hugs to you Maria (and you too Traci (and Kelly) :))!! And to the other crew members who joined in the fun...Lynn and Makiko, it was just soooo nice meeting you!! Finally, to all you wonderful Texas ladies who joined in the fun...you are all the best, and I had such a great time watching you all have a great time!! Yes, I do have a few pictures, however, they are still on my camera! So, I hope to get them off soon and I will be sure to share them with you all! :)
Now on to my card...I decided to go clean and simple!! I don't do it often...I struggle with it...but really love the look of it! I created this card for this week's Crazy for Challenges #58, to create a birthday card!

The Ivy images were stamped with the following recipe: Step 3: Old Olive, Step 2: Old Olive Stamped off, Step 1: Mellow Moss, Step 4: Always Artichoke. I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Mulit Step Daisy set in Old olive, and then layered it on a lacey circle nestabilites. To finish off the card, I added some olive satin ribbon across the bottom with two little bows tied with the bow easy, and layered with a half back pearl!

Please head on over to see what my fellow crew members have created today!

CAS37 - Simple Sympathy

I wanted to make a very simple sympathy card, and this is what I came up with. Have I said how much I love this BasicGrey Indian Summer DP...well I DO!!!!!!! These colors are just so amazing, they do all the work for you! :)

I paired this paper with a sentiment from the newly released Praying for You set from Our Daily Bread Designs. The sentiment is on one of the label tag trio from spellbinders. I then added a bit of black satin ribbon and a black pearl stick pin from Maya Roads.

For the inside of this card, I added another sentiment from this same Praying for You set. I then added another strip of black satin ribbon with a tiny bit of DP over that to tie it in with the front of the card.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a wonderful day!!

LSC229, ssnotime96 & CT0709 - Light Unto My Path

I made this card for LSC229 - I used my school colors of black and gold; ssnotime 96 - understated black and white elegance, with a pop of color if you choose; CT0709 - Tropical Paradise (have I said I love the Dirty Dozen Fan Gallery theme this month? LOL!!)
This is my attempt at a CAS card...what do you think?? I don't do them often, but really love the look of CAS cards!! For my image I used Our Daily Bread Designs Light of the World set. To highlight it just a bit, I sponged a little ODBD sunflower ink for the light coming out of the lighthouse. I also highlighted a couple of the words in the verse.

To finish off the card, I added a little black clip, some black half pearls, and some black satin ribbon!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great weekend!!
