Silk Bows & Sweet Birds!

Hello! I have a little card for you today using some more of the wonderful hand dyed silk ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store! This Rusty Bucket hand dyed silk is just so rich looking! I thought it would be the prefect touch with this DP from Prima, and small roses from Zva Creative! To give it a little added touch, I added an antique brad in the center of my bow!

The sketch for this card is from this week's Midnight Madness Sketch challenge. The image is from the Home Tweet Home set from Flourishes. I stamped it with Memento black ink and colored it with copic markers. Then to finish off the image, I sponged the background with some baja breeze ink.

A Gracious Woman...

Hello! I made this card for yesterday's TLC challenge over on SCS, were we were to cut along one edge of our image to reveal a portion of the inside of our card! I thought this challenge would be perfect for a brand new image that will be released this Friday from Our Daily Bread Designs called Bird & Butterfly Labels! Yes, the images in this set will fit perfectly in the Spellbinders Label 18 Nestabitlites! How fun is that!! NO CUTTING REQUIRED! :)

Here I stamped the image is baja breeze, and then stamped the verse in riding hood red. The DP is from Prima..,I know! I can't get enough of the new Prima papers!! The Red Swirled Organza Ribbon is from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store, and the gems are from Zva Creative, which were clear gems that I colored with one of my red Copics!

Here is a quick picture of the inside too! Love how you can see the paper and the ribbon from both the inside and outside of the card! :)

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! For my card this week, the sketch is from Crazy 4 Challenges. I am so loving this wonderful pocket watch image from the Mulit Step Father's Pocketwatch set from Kitchen Sink Stamps!! I stamp the image as follows:

Step 1: Going Grey Stamped off
Step 2: Going Grey
Step 3: Basic Grey

I then distress sponged the edges with a bit of going grey and some not quite navy. The DP is from Prima, the background was dry embossed with a cuttlebug folder, and the black twill is from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. To finish off the card, added a black photo turn-mount.

FSCC12 - Happy Birthday!

It's Friday, which means it is time for another Kitchen Sink Sketch Carte Challenge over on the Kitchen Sink Forum! This weeks sketch is a real clean and simple one! I have also decided to combine it with this week's Word of the Week (WoW10) challenge which is Birthday!



I so love this Gift image! I stamped it as follows: Step 1 Taken WIth Teal stamped off, Step 2 Taken with Teal, Step 3 Tempting Turquose, Step 4 Tempting Turquose again. The Ribbon was stamped with Step 1: Certainly Celery, Step 2: Wild Wasabi and Step 3: Wild Wasabi again.

To finish off the card I added a bit of old Stampin Up! DP, and some wonderful reversable ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store!

Ribbon Flowers made with Glubers!

Hello, I am really excited to show this wonderful new product from Cosmo Cricket called Glubers! They have just been added to the Really Reasonable Ribbon store, and you are gonna want these!! I first saw these when I was a CHA this winter and LOVED them!

Basically, they are very large thin glue dots, that you can make your own sticker out of! You can see in this picture, I have made three different flowers with the three different sizes offered in this package! The Twisted Rose flower was made with some 1.5" Pink Wrinkled Ribbon. The Ruffly Roes was created with Chocolate and Rose Silk Hand Dyed Ribbon, and the Ruffled Rose was created with some Plaid Red Ruffled ribbon!

I have added the pink and brown ruffly flower to my card for today! I have paired it with a wonderful verse from the Scripture Collection 5 set from Our Daily Bread Designs, and the DP is from Prima!

Hello! I have a quick card for you today using one of the newly released sets from Our Daily Bread Designs called Tulips and also a wonderful verse from Scripture Collection 5.

The tulips were colored with copics. The DP is from Prima, the gem flourish is from Zva creative and the ribbon is some Black Satin Edged organza ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.

Purple Lilacs!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! My card for today is using this week's Friday Sketch Carte Challenge FSCC11, from over on the Kitchen Sink Forum! I have also combined this challenge with Maki's Focus on Conrers challenge and Julie's Word of the Week challenge which was Green!!

I so love this Mulit Step Lilac set, it makes the most beautiful spring cards! I left this one with no sentiment so I can later use it for really anything from a b-day card to an Easter or even a sympathy card. The lilacs were stamped as follows: Step 1: Pale Plum, Step 2: Pale Plum, Step 3: Perfect Plum, Step 4: Elegant Eggplant. The leaves were stamped with Old Olive and Always Artichoke!

The DP is from Prima, and the tiny pearls are from Zva Creative. To finish off the card, I embossed the base with a cuttlebug folder, and added the purple taffita ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store!

Now onto my card for today! My verse is included in the Scripture Collections 5 set. I thought the verse I chose would make wonderful wedding or anniversary cards. Here I have stamped the verse in Early espresso on very vanilla paper, and layered it on some baja breeze paper where I stamped a border across the top and bottom from the Fleur de lis Border set. To finish off the card, I placed it on some Prima DP, along with some flowers from Zva Creative, and ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store!

Little Drops of Water...

I am just so excited that Our Daily Bread Designs has a specially made spellbinder's nestabilities just for this set! This Eternity stamp set includes the frame and three wonderful sentiments. The frame works perfectly in these wonderful ODBD Elegant Oval dies! I made this card for this week's ODBDSLC52 - Anniversary Challenge - to use Leather or Pearls!

Here I have stamped the frame in Marina mist, and the sentiment with Dusty Durango on some Prima paper. I cut it out and popped it up on some more wonderful prima papers. I then added some Zva Creative pearl flourishes and some wonderful lace and silk and dyed ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store!

Easter Blessings - RRR Blog Hop!

All I have to say is if you like purples, lavenders and violets, you are gonna LOVE this month's Ribbon Club Assortment!! The ribbons are all so very yummy, from satin to lace! WOW!! For my card today, I have used the Mini Purple Ric Rac, which framed my sentiment and flowers perfectly!!

The Daffodils image and sentiment on this card are from Our Daily Bread Designs. The flowers were colored with copics and cut out to frame the sentiment from the Daffodil Tag Set, along with the Vine Borders frame.

Finally, I finished the card off by adding some mini pearls from Zva Creative, and some DP from Prima.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Organization Week!!

Yep! It is organization week on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog!! Each day one of the design team members are showing you all how we organize our ribbons...whether it be with some sort of system or something "home made". For me...I do both!

For my scraps I use the Ribbon Spooler, and Ribbon Dispensers and Storage Trays from BEST craft. Then to store all of the different trays and dispensers, I have one of the BEST craft organizer four drawer cubes. They also offer even bigger organizers...there truly is one for every need you could think of! :)

I really do love these products, I can see all the MANY different types of ribbon I have (or am hording! LOL!!). I store them by color, so I know exactly where they should be. If there are multiple colors on the ribbon I will put them with the color that is dominate. If there is no dominate color, I store them in my pattern section of my ribbons. For those ribbons that are too wide to fit in the Ribbon Dispensers, I spool them, close them with a glue dot and store them in the storage tray compartment behind the dispenser with the matching colors as you can see in this pictures.

To spool the ribbons you can see the wonderful video over on Lou Ann's blog Creative Touch (just click on the first video listed on the right side of her blog!) It is just that simple, and fun!! :)

Now, that is how I organize my ribbon pieces. For those ribbons that I get on spools, I kind of do an old fashion method...nothing fancy at all. I just put the spools (in one layer) in shoe box sized plastic boxes. Again really easy to see, so I can see what I have!!

Baseball Birthday!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday! Well, I was out of town on Friday, so I was not able to get my Friday Sketch Carte Challenge card posted to my blog, or the Kitchen Sink Forum, so I thought today would be as good a day as any! :)

You can see this week's sketch FSCC09 here. I needed birthday card for my DH's step father, and he just LOVES baseball, so I knew the Multi Step Baseball set would do the trick! I stamped the glove as follows: Step 1: River Rock, Step 2: Crumb Cake, Step 3: Soft Suede, and Step 4: Early Espresso. The bat was stamped with: Step 1: River Rock, Step 2: Crumb Cake, and Step 3: Soft Suede. I then sponged the image panel with some Linen distress ink. To finish off the card, I added just a bit of cream ribbon with white dots...which I thought worked perfectly with the base ball images!

This is the Day the Lord has Made!

Hello! Do you ever find yourself always reaching to one particular color of ribbon! I know I do, and for me is it brown! I really love any shade of brown, but most of all I love a chocolate brown! I have used two different chocolate colored ribbons on my card today! First, I have added some grosgrain edged stain brown ribbon to my tag image. Then I decided to add a bit of 1.5" crochet lace brown ribbon both from May Arts!

My tag image and sentiment are from a newly released set called Daffodil Tag set from Our Daily Bread Designs. I stamped the image with memento black ink and colored the daffodils with copics. I then stamped the verse, sponged the image with scattered straw distress ink and cut the tag out. I then layered it on a chocolate chip tag cut out with the tag die from Our Daily Bread Designs. The DP is from Basic Grey's Curio package, and I finished off the card with a metal flower from Tim Holtz!
