He Restores my Soul...

Hello! I have a quick monochromatic card for you today! I just love this week's sketch over on the Midnight Madness blog! I thought it would be perfect for this new Porch set from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I stamped the image in walnut stain distress ink, and then distress the image with brushed corduroy distress ink. The base was stamped with the Vintage Border background image, and the bottom was cut with the vintage Border die.

To finish off the card, I added some twine from the really reasonable ribbon store, along with some brads and metal photo corners from Tim Holtz.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a wonderful day!

Connie

Silk Bows & Sweet Birds!

Hello! I have a little card for you today using some more of the wonderful hand dyed silk ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store! This Rusty Bucket hand dyed silk is just so rich looking! I thought it would be the prefect touch with this DP from Prima, and small roses from Zva Creative! To give it a little added touch, I added an antique brad in the center of my bow!

The sketch for this card is from this week's Midnight Madness Sketch challenge. The image is from the Home Tweet Home set from Flourishes. I stamped it with Memento black ink and colored it with copic markers. Then to finish off the image, I sponged the background with some baja breeze ink.

Thank you so much for visiting today! Have a great day!

Got Green Horseshoes?

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! I decided to create a card for St. Patrick's day today using the multi step Shamrock and Clovers, and the Lucky Horseshoe stamp sets!

The Shamrocks and Clovers were stamped with Step 1: Certainly Celery, Step 2: Old Olive, and Step 3: Always Artichoke. The Horseshoes were stamped as follows: Step 1: Going stamped off, Step 2: Going Grey and Step 3: Basic Grey.

I decided to use this week's Midnight Madness sketch #92 for my card today. The DP is from the DCDW Old World Stack, I layered my image on two Lacey Circle Nestabilities, and finished off the card with some green trim from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store!

Please head on over to see what my fellow crew members have created today!

Invisilble Snowman?!?!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!! It is a special Monday here in the Kitchen...they have released probably one of the most clever winter set EVER! :) The Invisible Snowman...you don't stamp the snowman, only the accessories to "dress" your snowman up! How cool is that! (no pun intended, LOL!!)

On to my card...here I have created my snowman by stamping the hat, scarf, buttons, coal for eyes, carrot for his nose, and the pipe! The color recipes are as follows:
  • Hat: Step 1: going grey, Step 2: going grey, Step 3: basic grey, Step 4: basic black

  • Scarf: Step 1: Rose Red, Step 2: Real Red

  • Buttons: Step 1: Bashful Blue, Step 2: Baja Blue

  • Coal: Step 1: going grey, Step 2: basic black

  • Carrot: Step 1: Apricot Appeal, Step 2: Pumpkin Pie, Step 3: Tangerine Tango
  • Pipe: Step 1: Going grey, Step 2: Basic Grey, Step 3: Basic Black

I decided to use one of this month's fabulous sketches over at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge Blog. To give my man a bit of shape, I then sponged the edge of the panel with Baja Blue. The DP is from Basic Grey's Jovial package. To finish off the card, I added some black satin ribbon with a large snowflake button!

Please head on over to see what my fellow crew members have created today!
